Great stuff. But I prefer the scenes preceding this one even better, with the electronics and satellite images.

From Wiki: "In the Hopi language, the word Koyaanisqatsi means 'crazy life, life in turmoil, life out of balance, life disintegrating, a state of life that calls for another way of living', and the film implies that modern humanity is living in such a way."

I would make the argument that perhaps humanity has never not been living the crazy life. Only in retrospect against the times you're living in does the past take on that nostalgic hue.

Thx for reminding me about these - I had one years ago but it's been lost to the shifting sands of time, so I finally found a use for my Amazon gift certificate in getting all three. The scene you posted was just that amazing. :D
